Glass blowing course
About our courses:
- We have 2 types of courses: a beginner’s sculpting course and an advanced Glass blowing course.
- Both courses will provide the basic tools to create with glass from the first lesson.
- The goal is for you to feel that you can work with glass and enjoy the process.
- Emphasis is placed on close guidance. The courses are conducted in small groups of participants and each teacher is a Bezalel academy graduate.
- Each participant receives their own stand in which they can concentrate during each meeting.
Important details:
- The beginner’s course is suitable for anyone over the age of 18.
- No prior knowledge is required.
- The glass blowing course is suitable for those who have completed the beginner’s course.
- Studio is located on Hebron Road 12, Jerusalem, near the first station.
- Each meeting is two hours long, including a short demonstration and work.
- All materials and equipment are provided on site.
- Small groups of participants in each course.
- Each meeting creates at least one creation.
- Personal, fun and professional guidance.
Students in the courses can come to practice hours for free in parallel to the course based on availability.
Course Syllabus and prices:
Beginner’s Sculpting Course – 3,120 ILS
- 8 sessions, 3 hours per session.
- The course is divided into 2 topics, lessons 1-4: plants, 5-8: figures.
Lesson 1: Plant basics. Glass and tools introduction, how they work, safety instructions. Creating circles and hot and cold glass connections.
Lesson 2: Flowers. We will learn how to stretch threads of color and how to stretch leaves and stems.
Lesson 3: Botany. We will learn to create complex connection “bridges”.
Lesson 4: Composition. Combination of all the tools we learned.
Lesson 5: Animals. Practice creating precise ellipses – balls and stretching them in different directions, creating legs.
Lesson 6: Planning and execution. Creating a full animal based on the techniques we learned.
Lesson 7: Human body. Sculpting a body according to the techniques we learned.
Lesson 8: Composition. Creating complex figures together.
Advanced Embroidery and Glass Blowing Course – 4,200 ILS
- 12 sessions, 2 hours per session.
- Learning to create shapes using a unique embroidery stretching technique.
- Learning to inflate animals, cups, and vases.
- Suitable for those who have completed the beginner’s course.
Lesson 1: Introduction to embroidery sculpting. Creating a two-dimensional surface from embroidery.
Lesson 2: Bowl. Preparation for three dimensions.
Lesson 3: Ball. First three-dimensional creation.
Lesson 4: Closed three dimensions. Creating a closed shape from embroidery.
Lesson 5: Introduction to glass blowing.
Lesson 6: Bubble.
Lesson 7: Beetle.
Lesson 8: Leviathan.
Lesson 9: Cup.
Lesson 10: Small vase.
Lesson 11: Writing/painting inflation. Writing or drawing on a base and inflating it to a cup.
Lesson 12: Combination of techniques. Creating a variety of tools.

A unique glassblowing course at Yael and Lach’s studio
The glassblowing course at Yael and Lech’s studio will allow each participant to study in depth, step by step, until they reach a high level of familiarity that allows them to create spectacular glass products, including glass monitor animals, special glass jewelry, colored tools or any other product you choose to create glass. All stages of working with glass, including glass design, color combinations, model preparation and more. The course is conducted in small groups of 4 to 10 participants so that each participant will receive a personal and individual reference that includes an in-depth explanation and demonstration of the required actions, then each participant will work in a personal work position and begin the creative work. Participates in creating their favorite product. The creation of the special glass products will be carried out by each of the participants himself from the initial meeting after receiving a brief explanation.
