The beginner course consists of 8 sessions, each lasting 3 hours.
Each participant gets their own workstation and all the materials they need.
Course size: Maximum of 10 participants.
Each session begins with a demonstration, followed by personal work time with guidance from our instructors.
In some sessions, there will be both basic and advanced project options — each student is free to choose their focus.
The course will equip you with the tools and techniques to create miniature glass sculptures.
Our goal is to help you feel confident working with glass and enjoy the creative process.
We place a strong emphasis on close, supportive guidance — with at least one instructor for every four participants.
The atmosphere is both professional and enjoyable.
No prior experience is needed.

Lesson 1 – Introduction
Getting to know the material and tools, how to work safely. We’ll create glass circles and learn cold and hot connections.
Lesson 2 – Prickly Pear (Sabres)
Learn to flatten glass and connect leaves to create a prickly pear.
Advanced option: add fruit and thorns.
Lesson 3 – San Pedro Cactus
Learn to carve grooves and oval shapes using gravity.
Advanced option: add a pot and flowers.
Lesson 4 – Bunny / Penguin
Use gravity to stretch ovals and create either a bunny or a penguin.
Lesson 5 – Flower
Using previous techniques, create flowers from various plants.
Advanced option: add stems.
Lesson 6 – Leaves
Continue working with stretching techniques to create leaves.
Advanced option: different styles (e.g., long leaves, anemone, iris, cyclamen).
Lesson 7 – Elephant
Use previous techniques to sculpt an elephant.
Advanced option: add a hat.
Lesson 8 – Fish
Work with flat shapes, striping techniques, color blending, and create fish.
(Open to those with previous torch experience)
Lesson 1 – Bird
Learn to pull fine details and create a bird.
Lesson 2 – Horse
Create a symmetrical animal with 4 legs, knees, and hooves.
Lesson 3 – Human Body (Basic)
Learn symmetry and movement by sculpting a dynamic human figure.
Lesson 4 – Head
Treat glass as a soft material – add, subtract, and sculpt a human head.
Lesson 5 – Stamen Flower
Precision work on delicate flower parts.
Lesson 6 – Chain Necklace
Create and link individual glass chain elements.
Lesson 7 – Rose / Wheat
Refine your sculpting technique with delicate organic shapes.

Practice complex multi-part glass connections.

The glassblowing studio of the glass artist Yael Velach, invites you to join a special course that does not require any prior knowledge in the field and is intended for anyone who has art in their mind. With the required equipment and materials, through the professional operation of the various clarifiers to the creation of the spectacular products from glass that has been professionally blown and designed, all in a particularly pleasant and fun atmosphere.
A unique glassblowing course at Yael and Lach’s studio
The glassblowing course at Yael and Lech’s studio will allow each participant to study in depth, step by step, until they reach a high level of familiarity that allows them to create spectacular glass products, including glass monitor animals, special glass jewelry, colored tools or any other product you choose to create glass. All stages of working with glass, including glass design, color combinations, model preparation and more. The course is conducted in small groups of 4 to 10 participants so that each participant will receive a personal and individual reference that includes an in-depth explanation and demonstration of the required actions, then each participant will work in a personal work position and begin the creative work. Participates in creating their favorite product. The creation of the special glass products will be carried out by each of the participants himself from the initial meeting after receiving a brief explanation.
